Hainault Forest – Year 2

Poppy class visited Hainault Country Park on Wednesday 17th October.

The children had great fun finding wood carving sculptures in the forest and identifying different plants. They also demonstrated their creativity when they built mini shelters for woodland animals and gargoyle faces on the tree trunks, all from natural materials found in the woodland.

Great laughter and excitement could be heard when the children were climbing on the low ropes. The children showed how agile they could be when balancing and climbing on the ropes.

Finally we visited Fox Burrows Farm, the children saw meerkats, alpacas, turkeys, sheep, goats and ponies. the children’s behaviour was outstanding and they had a fantastic day out despite the rain.
