Geography

“The study of geography is about more than just memorizing places on a map. It’s about understanding the complexity of our world, appreciating the diversity of cultures that exists across continents. And in the end, it’s about using all that knowledge to help bridge divides and bring people together.” – Barack Obama

Geography is powerful subject that lets our children become explorers, enquirers, environmentalists and global citizens. During lessons, we want to encourage enquiry to understand the world we live in. We achieve this deep understanding by exploring physical environments, human interactions, amazing structures and how humans interact with the physical environments. We are lucky to live in a diverse world so should utilise the opportunity to explore and engage with our world at school to learn to appreciate, connect and protect the world we live in.
