Sunflower Class have been learning about shapes and patterns. We have learned how to choose which shapes are needed to finish patterns and have been learning to use grid paper and rulers to draw our own shapes to finish patterns. We have worked very hard to make our lines straight and neat, it was tricky at first but we persevered and have made fantastic progress.
This week in Daffodil Class, the children have been looking at materials. The children listened to the story, ‘If I Built a House’ and really enjoyed the imaginative ideas within the story. During Literacy, we focused on using suffixes and adventurous WOW words. Using their understanding of materials, the children wrote about different rooms of a house. It was lovely to read through all of the brilliant ideas the children had for their
future homes.
